Stephen Capecci, M.A., LIMHP, NCC

Steve Capecci is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a Nationally Certified Counselor who received his Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and his Master's Degree in school counseling from Loyola College in Maryland. He then continued his studies in advanced counseling at Walden University. Steve has worked as a licensed counselor in the state of Maryland since 2016 and as a school counselor at the elementary and middle school levels for the past ten years. Before working as a counselor, Steve worked with students aged 6-21 with moderate to severe Autism at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Steve works with children, adolescents, adults and families in order to help them to focus on their strengths and become more successful individuals, at their jobs, schools, in relationships and in their lives. He has experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral difficulties, trauma, gender identity, relationship issues, parenting, decision making, and stress in general. His interests include working on his house, woodworking, being outdoors, church, and hanging out with friends and family. He lives in Alvo, Nebraska on a working farm with his wife Deb, son Myron, daughter Emily, as well as two cats, a dog, several cattle and chickens.
